Decker Pottery is an American ceramic practice taking shape in Đồng Nai, Vietnam—a place with a long, distinctive ceramic history. The studio’s work connects precise form development with surfaces that retain the evidence of heat, gravity, cooling, and material variation.

Every form begins directly in clay—thrown on the wheel or constructed by hand. Proportions are tested through making, and forms are altered, joined, carved, and refined until the silhouette feels resolved. Selected handmade originals then become masters for plaster molds. Casting, finishing, glaze application, and firing preserve the original character while giving every finished piece differences worth evaluating on its own.
