Decker Pottery is being built in Đồng Nai, a city shaped by industry, movement, and a deep ceramic tradition. Collection 001 begins here as a focused set of form and glaze studies rather than a finished catalog announced before the work exists.
The studio combines wheel throwing and hand building with plaster mold-making, clay testing, glaze chemistry, and kiln work. Form develops through direct contact with clay: pressure, movement, joining, cutting, and revision. Plaster has limits, clay shrinks, glaze moves, and the kiln refuses perfect certainty.
A collection built through tests
Early studies move through a deliberate sequence. A promising wheel-thrown or hand-built silhouette is refined as a physical original. Selected handmade forms become masters for plaster molds. The first casts reveal how wall thickness, cleanup, drying behavior, and material changes affect the character of the original.
Glaze tests then narrow the surface direction. Some results are kept, others revised, and some abandoned. Collection 001 will be the point where the strongest forms and surfaces begin to operate as one family.
From Đồng Nai to the buyer
Finished work will be listed individually with photographs, dimensions, pricing, and condition. Shipping from Vietnam will be arranged according to the piece and destination, with packing and transit details confirmed before purchase.
The first release is intentionally small. Its purpose is to establish a clear standard for the studio: controlled form, materially active surfaces, honest listings, and objects worth looking at long after the first photograph.
